OUR STORY

Postmortem is one of the leading independent motion picture brands in the Southeast, known for our provocative and character-driven films. Our extreme passion for grim and gritty storytelling precedes the Postmortem moniker by many years. In 2015, founders Pat Baker and Jillian Bricker began working together as teenagers with a shared love of storytelling. In 2017, co-founder D-Jay Postley joined the duo. In 2020, mid-pandemic, the Postmortem Films brand was created. Since then, Postmortem has collaborated with a diverse mix of over a hundred creatives in the Southeast and have produced the company’s first feature-film title Sugarcane, as well as eight short films, including Night Shift, Host, and Ivy.
